Monday of the Twenty-first Week in Ordinary Time
We hear in our gospel today, “woe to you Scribes…woe to you Pharisees…” and so on. Jesus is calling out those in power who teach one thing, and they themselves live a different way. His message is clear, live the way you teach. This is important for all of us adults, not just teachers and those in power. As adults, we all play a role in our homes and our communities. We are to live good Christian lives and be good examples for the young, because they watch everything that we do, and learn from us. May today’s gospel be a reminder to us of the roles that we play in the formation of the young.
