Monday in the Octave of Easter
Can you let go and announce the Good News? Mary Magdalene and Mary have just discovered the empty tomb and running from it they encounter Christ. I’ve put myself in their spot. I’ve just seen the resurrected Christ! He is Risen! He is alive! Friends, I don’t know if I could have left him to go and tell the Good News of his Resurrection like Mary Magdalene and Mary did. I’d want to stay with Jesus, hold tight to him, and not let him go. But that’s not our job, we can’t keep Jesus to ourselves. We are believers and witnesses of his greatness. We need to announce to all we encounter who Jesus was and what He did for the world. He is Risen! Alleluia! Go and tell the good news!
