Wednesday of the Sixteenth Week in Ordinary Time

Today's Mass Readings

In today’s first reading from Jeremiah, we hear “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you, a prophet to the nations I appointed you. ‘Ah, Lord GOD!’ I said, ‘I know not how to speak; I am too young.’ But the LORD answered me, Say not, ‘I am too young.’ To whomever I send you, you shall go; whatever I command you, you shall speak. Have no fear before them, because I am with you to deliver you, says the LORD.”

God knew us and knew our callings before He even made us. There are times that I am afraid that I will say something wrong or mix up my words, but that’s when I trust in the Lord because he will give me the words. Even now, I pray that I am planting the seeds of faith to those who read this, but it is the Lord who will make things grow and tell me what to say.
