Tuesday of the Twenty-Ninth Week in Ordinary Time
Today is the optional memorial of Pope St. John Paul II, as we like to say in the Burkhart family, “we are JPII Catholics,” meaning my parents found their faith when John Paul II was pope. My siblings and I found our vocation under his pontificate. Most importantly, we found our devotion to Mary under his pontificate. He said about Mary, “Be faithful to the Mother of fair love. Have trust in her, as you shape your love and form your young families. May Christ always be there for you ‘the Way, the Truth, and the Life.’”
Through the intercession of St. John Paul II and Our Lady, may we always see Christ Jesus as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
