Wednesday of the Twenty-Ninth Week in Ordinary Time
Today’s gospel may hard to hear because Jesus gets to the point. We don’t know when the final day will come. People in the world today act like it won’t even come at all. That’s why in the gospel we hear as Jesus explains to his disciples “That servant who knew his master’s will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely; and the servant who was ignorant of his master’s will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly.”
A question for you… what is one thing that God wants but doesn’t have but desires it? Our free will! We must always remember to unite our free will to God’s will so we can be vigilant and watchful, so that when the hour does come, our “house” (our soul) will be in order.
