Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
For a second time this week, we honor our Blessed Mother. This time it is the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Almost 500 years ago, a woman converted the New World to Catholicism. She did not do this for her own sake, but for the sake of the one she was carrying in her womb—Christ the Redeemer. Our Lady’s image showing her with child moved a people to Christ. And to this day, Mary continues to do this action: move people to Christ. She shows us what we should be doing as the faithful: bring others to Christ. Brothers and sisters, there are still New Worlds that don’t know about Jesus is. Let us continue Our Lady’s work and bring people to Him. Make a special prayer intention today for the people of Mexico celebrating their Patron Saint. ¡Viva Cristo Rey! ¡Viva La Virgen de Guadalupe, Madre de Dios!
