Thursday of the Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time

Today's Mass Readings

“Each of us shall give an account of himself to God.” (Romans 14:12)

Every life, every choice, every thought, will one day meet the gaze of God. There is no act too small, no gesture too fleeting, no silence too insignificant. Each step is part of our journey, and each moment will be seen and held by the Creator.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus tells of the lost sheep and the lost coin—treasures that may seem small or trivial, yet each matters deeply to God. What we overlook in our own eyes, God values. What seems ordinary in daily life is illuminated by divine light.

This call to accountability may alarm us, and that’s okay. It’s supposed to. It makes us mindful, inviting us to live honestly and intentionally, knowing that our deeds ripple beyond our awareness.

For the Journey:
Pause today and try to see your life as God sees it. What do you feel? Weight? Intimacy? Nothing particular? Ask to be enlightened. May our hearts choose words and actions that stand in God’s loving light.
