Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Today's Mass Readings

Today is a very special day for me. On this very day in the year 2001, I consecrated myself to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Today I can say “The LORD, your God, is in your midst, a mighty savior; He will rejoice over you with gladness, and renew you in his love, He will sing joyfully because of you, as one sings at festivals.” Today I received my marching orders from Our Lady.

John the Baptist leaped in the womb of Elizabeth when Elizabeth recognized not only Mary’s greeting but also Christ Jesus’ voice in hers! Mary was very special to Elizabeth, just as Mary is special to me. On this day 22 years ago, I received my marching orders to do the will of the Immaculata, as St. Maximilian Kolbe once said, “Listen with serenity, humility, and love to the voice of the Immaculata’s will, and act.” How can you act upon the will of the Immaculata today on this great feast of the visitation? Is there a friend you haven’t talked to in a while? Is there someone who gets on your nerves and you don’t know how to show love to that person? Create your own visitation and visit them. St. Maximilian Kolbe also said, “Whoever you are, whatever you have or are able to do, you receive it in any one moment from the hands of Divine Mercy through the Immaculata.”
