Friday of the Fourth Week of Lent
“They tried to arrest Jesus, but no one laid a hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.” Jesus knows when the hour will come, when he is to be lifted from the earth and finally recognize who he truly is. They say he is from Nazareth, thinking he was born from both Joseph and Mary. But they do not know where he is truly from, even though he has tried to tell them over and over again—even with good works, miracles, and driving out demons. Oh you who do not know where he is from, when will you take a heart of flesh and realize that you are staring at the creator who made you and everything around you? Let us not have hardened hearts as we prepare to enter the final weeks of Lent and realize that he comes from heaven to save us from our sins.
