Friday of the Nineteenth Week in Ordinary Time
“His Mercy endures forever.”
This is what we hear at mass today in the responsorial psalm, the past couple of days I have talked about God’s strength in faith and love, and also about forgiving one’s self. We hear in Psalm 136, the long list of the Lord’s mercy and love for us. For example: “Who led his people through the wilderness, for His mercy endures forever; Who smote great kings, for His mercy endures forever; And slew powerful kings, for His mercy endures forever.” These are things the Lord shouldn’t have done for his people because of their sin, but he did it for them anyway because of the love he has for us!
As St. Faustina says, “Love endures everything, love is stronger than death, love fears nothing.” Always remember to love!
