Friday of the Twenty-fourth Week in Ordinary Time
Journey
“Jesus journeyed from one town and village to another” (Luke 8:1).
Oh, let’s take a walk with Jesus. From town to town, from place to place, we share the love of Christ with our feet and with our face. What are we preaching today?
“Blessed the poor in spirit; the Kingdom of heaven is theirs!”
This is our responsorial psalm refrain today. Familiar words, but new terrain, we make the love of Christ known with our voice and with our good name. How do we make it good?
“But you, man of God…pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness” (1 Timothy 6:11).
Oftentimes it’s just a matter of intent—of trying, pursuing, and thinking about these human virtues and divine graces. It’s a journey! Enjoy.
For the Journey:
When you go outside today, take a walk with Jesus. (I know, it may take a bit of imagination.) Be among the Twelve and the women: Hi Mary! Hi Joanna! Hello Susanna! Where will the Lord take us today?
