Memorial of St. Clare, Virgin

Today's Mass Readings

Today’s responsorial psalm reminds me of today’s saint, St. Clare of Assisi. It reads “Blessed be God who filled my soul with fire!” When St. Clare’s convent was under attack, she took the Blessed Sacrament and raised it in the air and her attackers fell back and retreated.

Yesterday I asked you if you could find time to ask for the grace to do a good work for someone in need and ask God to supply the strength with faith and love. St. Clare had faith in the Lord and loved Him so much that she knew that Christ would defend her and her sisters. Always remember that the same faith and love that we show to the Lord will also have the Lord on our side. What more could we ask for?
