Memorial of Sts. Timothy and Titus, Bishops

Today's Mass Readings

Today is the feast of Sts. Timothy and Titus. Like most of the Apostles, we don’t know too much about these two only that they were chosen by Jesus to lead his people. The responsorial verse for today is, “Proclaim God’s marvelous deeds to all the nations.”

Like Timothy and Titus, we are called to be missionaries. We have to proclaim God’s marvelous deeds to all the nations, to “announce his salvation, day after day. Tell his glory among the nations; among all peoples, his wondrous deeds.” You might be thinking “but brother how can we do that, I want to, but how?” It can be simple, through a kind word to a neighbor, by doing something unexpected for someone you may not get along with, or maybe by praying humbly in public so that others can see that you have the light of Christ within you. Remember, too, that simple actions can have a big impact.
