Memorial of the Holy Guardian Angels
Today is the great feast day of our dear Guardian Angels! We owe a lot to them; they are the ones who report to God our actions our deeds and our sins. As Jesus says in the gospel today, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my heavenly Father.” Our guardian angels inspire us to do what is right and they, along with the Holy Spirit, help us to enlighten our minds to show others love and humility.
I am reminded of what the Lord Jesus said to St. Faustina, “I thanked God for His goodness, that He gives us angels for companions. Oh, how little people reflect on the fact that they always have beside them such a guest, and at the same time a witness to everything! Remember, sinners, that you likewise have a witness to all your deeds” (Diary, 630). Remember this quote! Put on “a show” in heaven! Our Guardian Angels and all the saints and angels, everyone in heaven can see what you are doing. Though to you it may seem like secret, everyone in Heaven can see you. Ask YOUR angel to help you.
