Monday of the Twenty-eighth Week in Ordinary Time
In the Alleluia verse today, we hear “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” When we hear the word of God, we should never harden our hearts. Yes, there are times when we want to grumble and complain to the Lord, and you know what, that’s ok!
Today is the optional memorial of St. Pope John XXIII, who is said to have told the Lord, “Well Lord, it’s your Church, you take care of it [the problem at hand]; I’m going to sleep.” If we just place our trust and confidence in the Lord, and if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, then we can move mountains!
