Saturday of the Fifteenth Week of Ordinary Time
In the alleluia verse, we hear this morning, “God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.” Jesus loves us very much and he wants us to come closer to him.
Throughout the week in the entrance antiphon for mass we have been hearing, “As for me, in justice, I shall behold your face; I shall be filled with the vision of your glory.” If you know someone who is away from the Church, remember that God does not want to see his sheep go astray. We can all help bring those people back home to the Church – God loves them too!
St. Maximilian Kolbe says about conversion, “The appropriate means in the work of conversion and sanctification of souls may only be the grace of God, which one must implore with prayer.” If we pray with faith and trust, then we can move mountains. If we help someone draw closer to the Lord, we have to remember that it was not us who led those to conversion to Jesus, but Jesus himself, using us as instruments of his grace.
I challenge you to be an instrument of grace to someone in your life who truly needs it. Humble yourself to the fact that Jesus loves you so much that he found you worthy to be an instrument of his grace.
