Saturday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time
Be Still
After a long week, with lots of activity, maybe we need to take a break and be still.
Jesus rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!” (See Mark 4:39)
Is he saying that to you?
Set a timer. Five minutes. Just be still for five short minutes.
What needs to be addressed in your life? What could you do about it today?
Or just be still.
If your mind is racing, imagine Jesus waking up in the hull of your mind and shouting, “Quiet! Be still!”
“The wind ceased and there was great calm.” (Mark 4:39b) There. That’s better.
Repeat the words of the Divine Mercy:
Jesus, I trust in you.
Jesus, I trust in you.
Jesus, I trust in you.
