Saturday of the Thirty-first Week in Ordinary Time
The first reading from yesterday and the gospel reading today go hand in hand. “No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”
Do you serve the Lord to the best of your abilities? Or do you say, “maybe tomorrow Jesus.” We must always remember that God is our true master, the center of our lives and if we ever have trouble getting to him, let us turn to Mary. As St. Louis De Montfort said about Our Lady, “Mary is the safest, easiest, shortest, and most perfect way of approaching Jesus.”
