St. Charles Lwanga and Companions, martyrs
In our Alleluia verse today, we hear “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; giving thanks to God the Father through him.” I can’t help but think of St. Charles Lwanga and his companions with this quote. Charles defended his companions from King Mwanga who persecuted the Christians in his region and put them to death. Let us imitate Charles and his companions and stand up for Christ when times get rough and when the time of persecution comes. Remember the Holy Spirit will give you the words on what to say and what to do and give you the courage to stand up for what is right.
