Thursday of the Second Week of Easter
King David in our Responsorial Psalm today proclaims, “Taste and see how good the Lord is; blessed the man who takes refuge in Him.” In the modern world that we live in today, everything we want is at our fingers. Anything that we need is easy to get. We fall prey to these things, we are vulnerable to them. And unfortunately, when we face trials and tribulations we seek the things of the world for consolation. The everyday challenge for us is not to look to the world for refuge and help, but to look to God for refuge and help. Do we have that will and humility, to seek refuge in Him? St. Joseph the Worker, pray for us.
