Wednesday of the Sixth Week in Ordinary Time
Today in the Gospel, we hear of Jesus curing the blind man. His sight was restored by having a personal encounter with Our Lord. Jesus is calling us to that same encounter, but we can all relate to this blind man in some way or another. What are we blinded by? What is blinding us from encountering Our Lord? Is it technology? Is it politics? Is it work? Is it ourselves? Are we our own obstacle for obtaining that loving and intimate relationship with Our Lord?
Our loving God desires so very much for us to be with him. He craves for us to be in a relationship with him. We must invite him, accept him, and ultimately, trust him. We can try and do anything and everything for this relationship to happen, but only Our Lord can make it possible. We must trust in that. So, let us ask for His grace, that we may see the obstacles in front of us, hindering us from encountering Our Lord.
