Wednesday of the Twenty-seventh Week in Ordinary Time

Today's Mass Readings

Today we celebrate a great polish saint who always reminds us that no matter how difficult life can be, like what we heard in the first reading, that God’s Divine Mercy will bring us peace and joy. I am of course talking about St. Faustina Kowalska, the secretary of Divine Mercy. From her diary the Lord told her to write, “Tell the whole world about my inconceivable mercy…especially for poor sinners” [699]. In our responsorial psalm, we hear “Go out to all the world, and tell the Good News.” I want to ask you, when was the last time you went to confession? Never be afraid, Jesus says to St. Faustina “I pour out a whole ocean of grace upon those souls who approach the font of mercy!” [699] Don’t be afraid, Jesus is waiting for you!
